My day goes better and I am more at peace when I do one thing before I do anything else.

I pull out my iPhone , turn to my Kindle app and read the five psalms, the five songs for the day.
Father, I listen to your voice through the voice the words of other songwriters.
I connect with you.
On April 25 I read psalm 25, 55, 85, 115 and 145.
These verses, these phrases caught my attention.
Psalm 85:10 Unfailing love and truth have met. Righteousness and peace have kissed.
Psalm 115:1 Unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalm 145:4 Let each generation tell the next….
I check the verses I highlighted and the comments I’ve made in other years.
Like photos framed in pink or blue or gold I hear you again.
You, Father keep me on the path you have for me . Reassuring me, encouraging me to keep reading, keep listening and keep writing.
Even if my ‘Martha, Martha Story’ was just for D.
Even if she is the only other writer I mentor , it is worth the journey.
Before anything else , I meet with you.
In the quiet hidden place
The songs, the sounds of your heart touch my heart
My heart has heard you say
Come and talk with Me
My heart responds
Lord, I am coming
Psalm 27:8 (NLT)
Reflection
I am blessed . Blessed to have the freedom to just be with God before anything else.
I understand that your days are filled with obligations. I understand that your days may be filled with children , with work and with stress.
In these days of
‘Go Home – Stay Home’
How can meeting with God be your BEFORE?
May I suggest that you just whisper –
My heart has heard you say
Come and talk with Me
My heart responds
Lord, I am coming
Psalm 27:8 (NLT)
Before you do anything else , invite Him into your day .
He will speak.
Listen for the whispers.
Virtually yours
